No account
Bionic reading works forever without signing up, logging in or giving an email.
Runs only when you ask
Skimora has no always-on script. Its reading script is injected into one tab, at the moment you press Start Reading, so Chrome doesn't show an all-websites warning.
Local storage only
Settings, highlights, notes, stats and imported documents live in your browser. Removing the extension deletes them.
No tracking of any kind
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no telemetry, and no remote code.
One network request
The only time Skimora talks to the network is to check a license key you enter. That request contains only the key.
Works offline after activation
A validated license is cached, so Skimora keeps working without a connection. It re-checks about once a day, and keeps working for up to 7 days offline.

What does Skimora collect about me?
Nothing. It has no analytics or telemetry. The only data that leaves your browser is the license key you type in, sent once to check it is valid.
Can Skimora read every page I visit?
No. It has no standing access to your sites. It can only touch the one tab you press Start Reading on.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Removing the extension deletes its local storage and database. Export your highlights first if you want to keep them.
